Peinture d’après une photo de Marilyn trouvée sur internet il y a plusieurs années. 
Oui, mais quelle photo ? Quelle source ? Quel photographe ? Ça se complique.
Maintenant que la peinture est achevée, cette information est capitale !

Après de nombreuses heures de recherche, je trouve l’incroyable site Divine Marilyn Monroe :

Et après avoir visité quasiment tout ce site immense, année par année, page par page, voici enfin la source :

Il s’agit donc d’une série de photographies de Nickolas Muray vers 1952, dans laquelle Marilyn est vêtue d’un simple négligé noir en dentelle. Pas très surprenant que j’aie trouvé cette image très glamour lorsqu’on découvre l’ensemble du photoshoot.

Pour moi, Marilyn était sur une scène devant un public. C’est la raison pour laquelle j’ai ajouté de faux effets d’éclairage représentés par des halos tramés et colorés.

Sure, but who’s the photographer? When was that shot? Ouch, it suddenly gets trickier.
Wouldn’t it be nice to at least know which picture I’m painting!

As the legend says, photographs by Nickolas Muray circa 1952, Marilyn Monroe wears a black lace neglected. No wonder I thought this picture tremendously glamour, check out the rest of the photoshoot. 

I imagined Marilyn was on stage, facing her audience, hence the faux light effects made with half-tone colored halos in the background.
